In addition to club reports, we will have a guest speaker from AZ Game and Fish who will offer the latest updates on items related to OHV travel and wildlife management in this area.

Are you visiting the Salome area for a short time and looking to explore? Or are you a seasonal/perm resident who wants to connect with others who enjoy this great (although sometimes dusty!) hobby? Participate in our yearly poker run or join our club rides. No membership is required! (But we know once you understand our mission - you will want to support our efforts)
Our membership fee is only $15 a year for a family.
PLEASE DO THIS!
WHEN on a trail and another rider approaches from the opposite direction - USE HAND SIGNALS to let them know how many are BEHIND you! How many fingers indicates riders. A closed FIST indicates you are the LAST rider!!

Where does your money from the Poker Run/fees/merchandise go?
Each year the AZ Desert Riders supports Salome community organizations.
We have provided funding to the VFW, Salome High School leadership program, the Salome Library and many other groups of Salome.
The group regularly cleans up trash on the highway, repaired a BLM kiosk and helped clean Game and Fish wildlife water catchments.
The AZ Desert Riders supports the efforts of the blueribboncoalition.org
who advocates for the right for offroad riding and access to public lands across the nation.
RULES OF THE TRAIL
Courtesy and insurance rules
We use a system where the LEADER points to a trail intersection and the first buggy will stop and then point out the direction to everyone following. He/she will then fall back into line directly in front of the TAIL GUNNER.
Insurance requires
the following:
1. All RIGS must have only the number of passengers for which they are designed.
2. NO ALCOHOL or DRUGS!
3. Should a break-down occur we will make sure you safely arrive back to the
assembly area.
